MINISTER FOR TRADE AND INDUSTRY LIM HNG KIANG TO VISIT MOSCOW TO SIGN MOU ON ECONOMIC COOPERATION IN SEZS BETWEEN RUSSIA AND SINGAPORE, 15 AUGUST 2006
Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang will lead a delegation to Russia from 14 to 17 August 2006to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Economic Cooperation in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) between Russia and Singapore. He will also co-chair the first Joint Steering Committee (JSC) meeting with the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation German Gref on the same day.
Under the MOU, Singapore will play an advisory role in the development of SEZs in Russia as well as share its expertise and knowledge in the development of industrial parks in Singapore and overseas.
Minister Lim will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, International Enterprise Singapore and JTC Corporation.
