MINISTER OF STATE S ISWARAN TO ATTEND 24TH ASEAN MINISTERS ON ENERGY MEETING IN VIENTIANE, LAO PDR, 27 JULY 2006,

Minister of State for Trade and Industry Mr S Iswaran will be in Vientiane, Lao PDR, on 27 July to attend the 24th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) and ASEAN + 3 (China, Japan and Korea) Ministers on Energy Meeting. The meetings are a platform for Ministers from ASEAN, China, Japan and Korea to discuss energy and energy-related issues, and to explore areas for regional cooperation in the energy arena.

He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Energy Market Authority.
