Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Home Affairs and Trade and Industry, Mr S Iswaran will be attending the Confederation of Indian Industry’s 20th Partnership Summit in Bangalore on 28 January as part of his trip to India from 27 to 29 January 2014.
2 Mr Iswaran will speak at two plenary sessions at the Summit, on the new trade era post-Bali and impact of mega trading blocs on global trade. During the trip, Mr Iswaran will also be gracing the inauguration of Ascendas’ Aviator Building in Bangalore and visiting the Gujarat International Finance
Tec-City in Ahmedabad.
3 The Partnership Summit serves as a platform for countries to share the impact of global value chains on their trade and investment linkages. This is an annual flagship event of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) since 1995 and is organised in association with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. 4 Mr Iswaran will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and representatives from International Enterprise Singapore and the Economic Development Board.
