NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED TO THE JTC AND SPRING BOARDS

The Minister for Trade and Industry has appointed two new Board members to JTC Corporation (JTC) and four new Board members to SPRING Singapore. Their appointments are with effect from 1 April 2007:

• JTC

• MG Desmond Kuek – Chief of Defence Force, Ministry of Defence

• Dr Ernest Kan –Partner, Deloitte & Touche, Singapore

• Dr Moh Chong Tau–CEO/ President, Makino Asia Pte Ltd

• Mr Tony L White –Chairman, President & CEO, Applera Corporation

• Mrs Kim Faulkner– CEO, Activiste Pte Ltd

• Mr ZaqyMohamad –Regional Director, Solutions (South-East Asia) Avanade Asia Pte Ltd

The Retiree Board members have stepped down from the JTC Board:

• Mr Chong Lit Cheong–Chief Executive Officer, International Enterprise Singapore and former Chief Executive Officer of JTC

• Mr Goh Hup Jin–Director, Wuthelam Holdings Pte Ltd

• Mr Masahiro Yamasaki –Former Managing Director, Sumitomo Chemical Singapore Pte Ltd

Four Board members have stepped down from the SPRING Board:

• Mdm Nooraini Noordin– MD, Nooris Consultants Pte Ltd and Director, Propnex Pte Ltd

• Mr Raj Mitta – Chairman, Essential value Associates Pte Ltd

• Prof Hellmut Schutte– Dean, Asia Campus, INSEAD

•  Dr Paul Temporal – Group MD, Temporal Brand Consulting Pte Ltd

The Ministry of Trade and Industry, JTC and SPRING welcome the new Board members and also express their appreciation to the outgoing members for their invaluable contributions.

JTC’s Board comprises 11 members and SPRING’s Board comprises 17 members.The current lists for both Boards may be found at Annex.
