Minister Lim Hng Kiang to attend WTO Geneva Ministerial starting 29 June 2006

Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade and Industry, will be in Geneva, Switzerland, from 28 June to 3 July 2006, to attend a WTO Ministerial Meeting. The meeting comes at a crucial stage of the negotiations, with ministers expected to focus their attention on reaching an agreement on the modalities for reducing farm and industrial tariffs, as well as agricultural subsidies. At the sidelines, Minister Lim will participate in several working sessions with other Ministers.

Minister Lim's delegation will comprise officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
