Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing met United States Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross today during the latter’s visit to Singapore. Mr Chan and Mr Ross reaffirmed the close and longstanding bilateral relations between Singapore and the US, including the strong trade and investment ties between the two countries. They recognised the importance of the US’ continued engagement in Southeast Asia, and exchanged views on key regional and international developments. They also discussed opportunities for Singapore and the US to deepen economic collaboration in areas of mutual interest such as in our trade and digital infrastructure.
