Minister (PMO) Chan Chun Sing met Chongqing Mayor Zhang Guoqing on 26 February 2017 in Beijing. During the meeting, Minister Chan and Mayor Zhang reaffirmed the good progress made under the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative (CCI) and discussed new areas of cooperation such as the newly approved Chongqing Free Trade Zone. Minister Chan congratulated Mayor Zhang on his recent appointment as the Mayor of Chongqing and emphasised Singapore's commitment to the CCI.
