Singapore's GDP Grew by 2.0 Per Cent in the Fourth Quarter of 2015
4 January 2016. Based on advance estimates, the Singapore economy grew by 2.0 per cent on a year-on-year basis in the fourth quarter of 2015, slightly faster than the 1.8 per cent growth in the previous quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter seasonally-adjusted annualised basis, the economy expanded at a faster pace of 5.7 per cent compared to the 1.7 per cent growth in the preceding quarter.
For the whole of 2015, the economy grew by 2.1 per cent. This is in line with MTI’s earlier announced GDP growth forecast of "close to 2.0 per cent".
