Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang, will be making a two-day visit to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam, from 16 to 17 April 2013.
Mr Lim will co-chair the 9th Vietnam-Singapore Connectivity Meeting on 16 April with his Vietnamese counterpart, Minister of Planning and Investment, Bui Quang Vinh. The Ministers will discuss the progress of the six sectors of cooperation under the Connectivity Framework, namely, education and training, finance, information technology and telecommunications, investment, trade and services, and transportation. Mr Lim will also meet the Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai and the Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan during the trip.
