FIVE NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED TO IE SINGAPORE BOARD
The Minister for Trade and Industry has appointed five new members to the International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore) Board for a period of two years with effect from 1 January 2006.They are:
Mr Venkatraman Thyagarajan, Senior Vice President & Regional Director,
Asia Pacific, GlaxoSmithKline;
Mr Ron Sim Chye Hock, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,
OSIM;
Mr Tang Kin Fei, Group President and CEO,
SembCorp Industries;
Mrs Fang Ai Lian, Chairman,
Ernst & Young, Singapore; and
COL Chan Chun Sing, Joint Plans & Transformation Dept., Joint Operations and Planning Directorate,
MINDEF.

Four Board Members had stepped down from the IE Singapore Board, with effect from 31 December 2005 :
Mr Wong Ngit Liong – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer,

MG Desmond Quek – Chief of Army,
MINDEF
Mr Richard Eu – Group Chief Executive Officer,

The Ministry of Trade and Industry and IE Singapore welcome the five new Board Members and also express their appreciation to the four outgoing Board Members for their invaluable contributions to IE Singapore.
IE Singapore's Board of Directors comprises 12 members, with Ms Euleen Goh as Chairman, and Mr Sunny Verghese as Deputy Chairman. The current list of Board members may be found at Annex B.
