Written Answer by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong

1. Collectively, the creative industries have performed well in the last ten years from 2012 to 2022. Receipts have more than doubled from $16.6 billion to $39.8 billion, with exports growing from $4.3 billion to $16.2 billion. Nominal value-added has also doubled from $5.7 billion to $11.4 billion. With employment remaining stable at about 63,000 workers, the value-added per worker has thus doubled from $90,400 to $184,100.

2. The outlook for the creative industries remains positive, with opportunities to leverage technology and international partnerships to grow in Singapore and beyond.
